Children's Banner Stolen

13th Oct 2007

Devastating news and a blow to the campaign today. Between the early hours of friday evening and saturday morning the children's banner has been stoled and several hands have been taken from the railings to be ripped up and scattered along the pathway.

A personal attack on the children

This comes little more than 24 hours after the happy event of putting the banner in place to deliver the children's message to the council and the horrible news soon spread throughout the campaign team, local residents and ward councillors.

We are all extremely upset about the vandalisim and theft, we dred to think what the effect will be on the children when they find out. Of all the banners to target why take the children's?

Local residents have searched the area to try and find the stolen banner. Police are also investigating the incident, if anyone has any information they are asked to call 0845 6043043. Reporter verity ward who had covered the story on the previous day as been contacted and is re-writing the story after the devastating news.

The campaign will continue despite this blow and will only make us more united and determine to fight for our children's future and the future of this fantastic school.
