Stakeholders report handed in to Town Hall

30th Nov 2007

Today (Nov 30th) saw the end of the public (pre)consultation stage of the overall TOPS project. Sheila Witte, Rachel Fitzsimons and Myself (Paul Gardner) took copies of our report to Town Hall which we handed over to Mike Dillon who took 30mins out of his busy day to talk to us.

One phase complete, but the fight is far from over!

All who attended the meeting left feeling positive, not only by the strength of our report's content, but as it was quite clear Mr. Dillon (Acting Executive Director for Children and Young People) was highly impressed with the professionalism of our response and it seemed we are the only school to have taken such action.

Whilst we can all relax now that this stage of the process has come to an end, don't get too comfy as the fight still goes on. We now all need to lobby councillors right up until February when Cabinet will start the political process by making a political decision based on the final report the TOPS team produce.

There are a range of activites in the pipeline and we will provide more details as they are confirmed.
