My grandaughters have settled well at this school . All the childrens feelings should be taken into account before any final decision is made.

How many more schools are the Government going to close? These local schools are there to educate but at the same time they are part of the local community and add to a sense of belonging. Our daughter was at the school in the l970 and remembers with pride the happy times she had there! Please don't allow this to become a relic!
Dr. Adrian Boldy.

This has to be stopped! This was our daughter's first school way back in the l970s. It was a wonderful school way back then. I understand from friends who still live in the area and who now have their grandchildren at the school, that it is still the happy academically proven school that it always was. This is a close knit and happy community don't deprive these young children - I quote: 'give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man'.

It's been nearly 30 years since I left but still have many happy memories of my first years at school. Closing the school is like deleting my past... please don't let this happen.

Labour council + safe seats + ex Education Minister (David Miliband) = School Closure

Vanessa J. (23rd Sep 2007)

Labour MPs Stephen Hepburn / David Miliband can stop this but will they?

Paul J. (23rd Sep 2007)

my main concern about closing the school is that my 6 and 4 year old are both settled, moving schools would disrupt their learning especially my 6 year old as he has dyspraxia, which means he doesn't like change, i know for a certain fact that this would affect his education. plus my 4 year old has just settled in school, i know she loves it as she is always going on about mrs kane and her friends. she never once settled in nursery like she has settled in boldon c of e primary, it was a fight everyday to get her to go to nursery

malcolm w. (23rd Sep 2007)

i am a former pupil of boldon church of england primary school,i have now started comp. if it wasn't for the determination of the teachers there i would never have coped with comp. i have got learning difficulties and boldon c of e got the right help for me to cope with certain aspects of my learning. please don't close the school as they have brought me this far and they will do it for others. i loved my time there and in a way i wish i could be back there

jordan g. (23rd Sep 2007)

Please do not disrupt the education of the youngsters of Boldon C of E Primary School. They deserve to be educated in the local primary which has served the community very well for many years. Continuity is vital in these early formative years.
