my memories lie in that school , i grew up in that school, why close a school that so many people have enjoyed and will hopefully continue to enjoy throughout the years to come

boldon c of e was the best time of my life so far and will be for many more people, they are still some great teachers there and a lot of memories that i will remember for ever. i dont see a good reason for it to shut down, it will only interupt peoples education and get people upset. please dont shut it down

It is such a shame that the government want to close down so many of our wonderful primary schools! We all want the best education for our children (although I don't have any but I'm sure I will in the future) and the smaller the classes are in schools the better the provision is for the children. There is no point in closing schools which are maybe a little smaller than some just to amalgimate them together because then you end up with huge classes that are filled to bursting point and the government only end up paying out more money for the new buildings to house these new schools and for new teachers and staff. Things should just be left as they are. I think it is a case of the grass is always greener on the other side! No sooner than one government close lots of little schools to make bigger one, another one will take over and decide to open more schools to cut classes. Talk about swings and roundabouts!!! None of this upheaval is any good to the tax payer, government funding but most of all, the children. After all it is the children who are the most important aspect of all this. Listen to the children - do they really want to have to move schools and be separated from their family and friends? do they want to have to travel miles to get to their nearest school? NO! I really hope you win your fight to keep your school open, I have heard so many wonderful things about it!

Clare R. (27th Sep 2007)

don't close the school

Ieva D. (27th Sep 2007)

The early years at school are so important for all children and most often the smaller schools are far better at providing an environment where children feel safe, secure and more receptive to learning.

MY SON WENT TO THE SCHOOL AND ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE - SURELY SMALLER PRIMARY SCHOOLS ARE A BETTER PROPOSITION ALL ROUND

PETER S. (26th Sep 2007)

Don't close my school it's lovely!

Gemma H. (26th Sep 2007)

Don't know if my view counts but this school is the most caring, friendly and most welcoming place you can send your child. It seems so unfair to close it- I can honestly say I love my job because of the school it is!

Carolyn D. (26th Sep 2007)

I went to this school and loved it. My mam works there and it is a lovely school so HANDS OFF!!!

Bethany D. (26th Sep 2007)

Just heard about this from a friend.. nice to see the government listens and cares about our children, eh? Bloody disgusting.

Mel R. (26th Sep 2007)

Don't close the schools, we need them for our kids

steve b. (26th Sep 2007)

My daughter has just started school and I wouldn't like to think this was happening at her school. Why take new pupils if the authorities have no intention of keeping the school open, It's unsettling fot young children

Colin M. (26th Sep 2007)

HANDS OFF OUR SCHOOL! I love this school and I dont want to leave!

Georgie H. (26th Sep 2007)

For what my views are worth, as an ex governor of this school, a retired headteacher, and most importantly as a grandfather of 2 children at the school,I can see that this is a very happy and successful school, which should NOT be closed, especially since it is the only C of E school in the Boldons, in a parish which is the home to one of the oldest churches in the Diocese

Richard H. (26th Sep 2007)

SAVE THE SCHOOL!

Rachael S. (26th Sep 2007)

Please do not disrupt the education of the youngsters of Boldon C of E Primary School. They deserve to be educated in the local primary which has served the community very well for many years. Continuity is vital in these early formative years.
